Indian table tennis players Achanta Sharath Kamal won his semi-final game against Paul Drinkhall of England to enter the final in the men’s singles Table Tennis event at the Commonwealth Games 2022. However, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran missed a chance to set up an Indian final in CWG 2022 after losing to England’s Liam Pitchford in the semi-final.

While Sharath stormed into the men’s singles finals after defeating Paul Drinkhall of England 4-2, S Gnanasekaran lost 4-1 to England’s Liam Pitchford in the semi-final of men’s table tennis singles on Sunday.

Sharath Kamal will now face Liam Pitchford in the men’s singles table tennis final on Sunday while G Sathiyan will face Paul Drinkhall for the bronze medal. Earlier, the Indian pair of Achanta Sharath Kamal and G Sathiyan lost 2-1 to England’s Paul Drinkhall and Liam Pitchford to settle for silver medal.

Indian player Sreeja Akula lost her bronze medal match against Australia’s Yangzi Liu 3-4 in the women’s Table Tennis singles on Sunday.
