Five-time title winners and defending champions Australia will once again step as favorites in the ICC T20 World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to start on February 10, next year. The International Cricket Council announced the schedule for the marquee event in South Africa on October 03, 2022 (Sunday).

According to the scheduled fixtures, South Africa will play the first match of the ICC tournament against Sri Lanka in Cape Town, followed by West Indies vs England and Australia vs New Zealand on February 11, in Paarl.

Meanwhile, Team India’s quest will start on February 12, 2023, against arch-rivals Pakistan in Cape Town. Speaking of the groups, Group 1 consists mightiest of the game as Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, who recently won the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022,  final by beating Ireland.

Group 2 of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 features India, England, West Indies, Pakistan and Ireland. As per the fixture, the league stage will run until February 21, with each team taking on the other four teams in their group once.

The two best teams in each group at the end of the league stage will qualify for the semifinals. Speaking of the history of the T20 World Cup, Australia has lifted the prestigious title five times (2010, 12 14, 18 & 20), while England (2009) and West Indies have won one title once each.

Group 1: Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh

Group 2: England, India, West Indies, Pakistan, Ireland
