The Women’s IPL is no more a distinct dream as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has brought this much-anticipated idea into reality. After 1525 women cricketers registered for the mega-auction, 409 have been listed out for a high-stake auction for the inaugural edition, which is all set to take place at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai on Monday, February 13.
Notably, each franchise will have a purse of Rs. 12 crores to spend for players who are placed in four categories – Rs. 50 Lakh, Rs. 40 Lakh, Rs. 20 Lakh and Rs. 10 Lakh.
