The Lanka Premier League is a professional franchise cricket league in Sri Lanka which was established by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board in 2020. In its four years, the LPL has gained a huge fanbase and has given some of the great cricketing talents that might be seen playing for the Sri Lankan cricket team soon.

New Zealand wicketkeeper batter Tim Seifert is the fifth player in the list to score most number of half–centuries in the Lanka Premier league. The right-hander has scored 631 runs from 17 matches in his LPL career along with six half-centuries.

4. Dinesh Chandimal – 7 fifties
Sri Lankan wicket keeper batter Dinesh Chandimal has scored seven half-centuries in his career in the Lanka Premier League. He has played for different franchise in the LPL including Kandy Falcons, Colombo Kings and B-Love Kandy scoring 1356 runs from 49 matches in the tournament.

3. Rahmanullah Gurbaz – 7 Fifties
Rahmanullah Gurbaz is a wicket keeper batter from Afghanistan who has played for three different franchises (Jaffna Kings, Colombo Strikers and Kandy Tuskers) in the Lanka Premier League scoring 1015 runs from 43 matches. He has also scored seven fifties in his career in the LPL.

Avishka Fernando has scored the most number of half-centuries in the Lanka Premier League. The right-handed batsman has played for Dambulla Aura and Jaffna Kings in his LPL career scoring 1544 runs in 50 matches. He also finished as the third highest run getter in LPL 2024 playing a monumental role in Jaffna’s fourth title win. Fernando has scored 15 half-centuries in his LPL career so far.
