The nature of Pakistan cricket is, by usual standards, volatile. They failed to win their last 18 Test match appearances in the SENA countries. This means not winning even a single or solitary Test match whether played in Australia, South Africa, England or New Zealand. And while their one off test win in the West Indies with the series ultimate tied was something to cheer about, their most recent test routing in England was further exacerbation of their woes. How so?

After suffering at Leeds, Headingley a test loss by over an innings, at Lord’s too, they weren’t able to occupy the field in a game that should ideally have been lasted all five days.

And what came after from that harrowing and perhaps even spirit crushing loss was the turn of events that concerned off the field but have a direct impact on what could now happen on it!

How’s that, but? After the embarrassing loss at Lord’s, Pakistan Cricket Board decided to sack 7 talents including their previous test coach and then big name such as Muhammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha were sacked and asked to go back home.

Now, there’s all sorts of reactions that the Pakistan cricket firmament and their PCB members are getting on social media and perhaps rightly so with the general crop of supporters having been left utterly disappointed with a sense of unease that they certainty didn’t deserve.

Aaqib Javed, most recently, further cooked up a storm by stating over social media, “the entire world is laughing at us!” Perhaps trying to direct the attention of the aggrieved fans given the recent sacking!

But then instead of it having served any reasonable response or assuaging the situation, things got complicated further as former Australian batter who has roots in Pakistan, Usman Khawaja replied to Mr. Javed’s message by saying, “they’re laughing even more now!”
Well, what can one say? There’s never really a normal day in Pakistan or in their cricket. Isn’t it?
