Former Indian captain MS Dhoni was spotted along with Rishabh Pant in a video that has gone viral on social media. In the clip, Rishabh Pant is stretched out on a sofa in what appears to be a hotel room or a private suite. Drinks of various kinds sit on the table in front of him including beer cans, mixed glasses and he was with a few other people. MS Dhoni was in the frame and later he comes back and shakes Pant’s hand, and delivers the line that has now gone viral and been shared thousands of times. “Ruk, hookah peeke aata hu,” Dhoni could be heard saying casually.

There are no details available as to exactly when or where the gathering took place. Some posts say it was filmed during a recent trip that involved London while others believe it is older footage from a private holiday the two have shared before. This video has given fans an unexpected glimpse into the off-field lives of two of India’s most popular cricketers.

In the video there are friends, music and chatter in the background along with a table full of drinks. Fans have often seen Pant and Dhoni share a great friendship and this is another instance. This video has gone viral with plenty of likes, retweets and memes made around this video.

X Turns MS Dhoni’s Hookah Line into a Meme

The moment the video went viral on social media, fans on twitter took a five-second audio clip and turned it into plenty of memes. The clip where Dhoni says “hookah peeke aata hu”  has become the most said line on the platform. Pant’s saying “Mahi bhai, idhar aao” followed by Dhoni’s reply made it very viral. A few users quoted the clip with “Dhoni never beating the allegations” captions complete with smoke emojis.

Some put the audio over the classic Dhoni helicopter-shot video. A few created mock scorecards where the Man of the Match award went to the hookah. A few creative accounts edited the scene into CSK team-bonding as well. A few unverified and exaggerated claims of a “₹12-crore beer party” also floated around. All the previous videos and news have also been associated from old Irfan Pathan interviews to George Bailey’s past comments about Dhoni’s open-door policy. A few criticisms also came their way as a section of users questioned whether senior cricketers should be seen this way, while others defended the clip as private life that should have stayed private.
