Ravindra Jadeja is back on Instagram with a completely new account. Rajasthan Royals posted a video of the Indian all-rounder wearing the franchise’s pink jersey, with a glowing pink lion next to him. “Banna is back! @theroyaljadeja8” was the caption, along with a heart emoji. The post soon caught the attention of fans, who realised that the veteran cricketer had created a new Instagram profile. This went viral on social media and he has already gained more than 10k followers within hours after this news spread. Jadeja had been away from Instagram for several months. His return comes after the big trade that saw him move back to Rajasthan Royals, the franchise where his IPL career started in 2008.

The Royals have now made his new account public by sharing the handle themselves, and supporters have already started following him there. The new username is @theroyaljadeja8, is also quite fitting given the way Rajasthan Royals have welcomed him back. The franchise has been referring to Jadeja as “Banna” since his return, playing on his Rajasthani roots. It has quickly become part of the way the Royals are presenting their returning star to the fans. His return to the Royals is obviously a big story in itself. He spent more than a decade with Chennai Super Kings and became a major part of the team’s success during that period. Now, he is back where his IPL journey began, this time with a new Instagram account as well.

What Happened to Ravindra Jadeja’s Previous Instagram Account

Jadeja’s precious Instagram account, @royalnavghan disappeared in early November 2025. It had more than 9.5 million followers at the time, which made it one of the biggest Instagram accounts among Indian cricketers. The account was suddenly no longer accessible. Fans who searched for Jadeja’s profile were met with the “Profile isn’t available” message. There was no detailed explanation for the removal of his account, but the timing immediately became a talking point because it came when reports about Jadeja’s proposed move to Rajasthan Royals were getting rumoured.  The trade itself was one of the biggest talking points ahead of the IPL season. Jadeja returned to Rajasthan Royals, while Sanju Samson moved to Chennai Super Kings, with Sam Curran also involved in the deal.

Despite all the attention regarding the trade, the all-rounder never publicly explained what had happened to his Instagram account. That led to plenty of speculation among fans. Some thought he had deactivated it himself, possibly because of everything happening around the trade. There was no official confirmation of any of those. The disappearance of his previous account was still noticeable because it had been Jadeja’s main Instagram account for years. It contained a large collection of posts from his cricket career, including his time with CSK, family moments and plenty of pictures from his life away from the field. His trademark sword celebrations also featured regularly on the profile. The Rajasthan Royals all-rounder is back with a new Instagram account and it has already started gaining plenty of followers.
