There have been a few thrilling games already at the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Yet perhaps no game comes close to the drama which unfolded at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 23. When the Men in Blue were 31/4 at 160, it was Pakistan’s game to lose.

However, Virat Kohli played an innings that will go down in history as among the best in a high-pressure game, and took India over the winning line, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. His unbeaten 82 shattered the hearts of the Pakistan players and fans but all seemed to agree that the team did put on a brave show.

But when Babar Azam & Co. lost to Zimbabwe by 1 run in Perth on Thursday, it was a massive setback as it now meant there was an immense likelihood that they might not be able to secure qualification for the semis. The team’s fate, other than their own performance, will now also be dependent on other results to go their way for them to forge ahead.

Upset by Pakistan’s performance, an old video of a fan now has resurfaced where he explained why the players underperforms at world event. He said that the inability of Pakistani players to communicate effectively in English is one of the main reasons for their flop show Down Under.

He says that the players are insecure when they see other players speaking flawless English and showing off their tattoos.

Pakistan will now look to end their search for their maiden win in the tournament against the Netherlands on October 30 (Sunday) at the Perth Stadium, also praying for India’s victory over South Africa to increase their chances of making it to the semis.
