Gujarat Titans’ retention list have got a lot of eyeballs as they traded their captain Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians with youngster Shubman Gill all set to lead the Gujarat-based franchise in IPL 2024. Openers: Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha
Shubman Gill, who had a golden time in IPL 2023, winning Player of the Series award after scoring 890 runs from 17 innings, will be playing as opener alongside the experienced campaigner Wriddhiman Saha at the other end.
It will be very interesting to see how Gill leads his franchise in the 2024 edition with so many experienced campaigners being in their side after having a fantastic year with the bat in 2023.

Middle-Order: Sai Sudharsan, Kane Williamson, David Miller
The young talent Sai Sudharsan played a significant role with the bat in IPL 2023 by scoring 362 runs from 8 innings at an average of 51.71 and strike rate of 141.4. Most importantly, he scored 96 runs off 47 balls in the final game against CSK.
Kane Williamson got injured after playing only one match for GT in IPL 2023, but his return in 2024 IPL will be very crucial for the franchise as he can play a solid middle order role in this batting order.
David Miller’s six hitting capability and his finishing skills has made him a great match winner for all the IPL franchises that he plays for. In the last season, he has scored 259 runs at a strike rate of 145.5 with 13 sixes to his name.

All-Rounders: Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan
Rahul Tewatia despite not having a great season with GT in 2023, has showed the whole world on what he is capable of by playing match-winning knocks in the past IPL seasons. His ability to play an all-rounder helps him to have an edge over other teammates.
The mystery spinner Rashid Khan has been one of the greatest-ever bowlers in T20 cricket and in recent times, he has shown that he can bat also if needed by the team management by smashing an unbeaten 79 run-knock against Mumbai Indians last season. He picked 27 wickets for GT in IPL 2023.

Bowlers: R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Shami, Joshua Little, Mohit Sharma
R Sai Kishore hasn’t got an opportunity to play for his IPL franchise in 2023 but he has been a sensation with the ball in TNPL over the years and if given an opportunity to play this league, he may prove himself as one of the greatest spin bowlers.
Mohammed Shami’s form with the ball has been very dangerous, hence he is expected to do wonders for his side. He was the purple cap winner in IPL 2023 as he went onto pick 28 wickets with the ball.
Mohit Sharma was in good form with the ball during IPL 2023 as he went onto pick 27 wickets and became second joint-highest wicket-taker alongside Rashid Khan in that season. Mohit Sharma’s slower ball has done the trick for his side in majority of the games.
The Irish bowler, Joshua Little was seen playing 10 out of 17 games for GT in the 2023 IPL season, hence he is expected to continue in the side in IPL 2024 also.
