IPL 2023 Auction is round the corner and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also released the players list. A total of 405 cricketers are set to go under the hammer in Kochi on December 23, 2022. Earlier, 369 players were shortlisted by the 10 franchises from the initial list of 991. Thirty-six additional players were requested by the teams, making the total to 405.

 

Out of these 405, 273 are Indian players and 132 overseas of which four are from the associate nations. From these 405 players, there is this 15-year-old Afghanistan player, who happens to the youngest to draft his name for the IPL 2023 Auction.

Hailing from the Paktia province of Afghanistan, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar is the youngest player to enlist in the auction. The mystery off-spinner idolizes veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, also plays in the Junior Pakistan Super League.

However, Indian cricketer Amit Mishra is the oldest to feature in the IPL 2023 Auction list. The veteran Indian spinner aged 40 years and 19 days was released by his franchise Delhi Capitals. Mishra has 272 wickets from 244 matches at an average of 22.38 and an economy of 7.14. Talking about his IPL numbers, Mishra has 166 wickets from 154 games at an average of 23.97.
