The champions of the Indian Premier League 2023 will be decided on May 29, Monday, on a ‘Reserve Day’ for the first time in the history of the Indian T20I league. The final summit of the season was slated on May 28, Sunday; however, it got pushed to Reserve Day due to the interminable rain at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. In a big piece of news, IPL has released information for the fans who wish to re-attend the summit clash.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced that the fans will be able to use the same tickets for the reserve day clash, given they have physical tickets with them. As per IPL’s latest statement, fans would be able to enter the stadium if they have their physical tickets with them. Not only this, but fans would be able to avail their tickets even if they are torn. However, online tickets won’t be valid, and the tickets should have complete details.
The official IPL statement read, “The IPL Final of the 2023 edition involving Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans has been rescheduled to the reserved day, Monday, May 29th due to incessant rain in Ahmedabad. Fans who had their tickets for the TATA IPL Final on May 28th will now be able to enter the stadium with their existing physical tickets on May 29th.”
All you need to know about the physical tickets for IPL 2023 Final:
1. Tickets are valid if fans have tickets in intact condition or even if they are torn but complete.
2. The tickets should have all the important details mentioned.
3. They won't be allowed if they have part tickets with no details, part tickets with incomplete details, or only digital tickets.
However, if rain interrupts the game on Monday as well, the latest that the match can start for a full 20-over clash will be 9:35 pm IST. After that, overs from both sides will start getting deducted. The latest that the IPL final can start for a minimum 5-over-per-side clash will be at 12:05 am (May 30, Tuesday). If it is not possible, then a ‘Super Over' will decide who will take the trophy home. However, if nothing would be possible then the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans’ will be declared the champions of IPL 2023 as they finished at the top spot on the points table after league stage matches.
