Team India added yet another clean-sweep on foreign soil as Shikhar Dhawan-led side lifted the silverware in style after beating West Indies 3-0 in the ODI series. In a rain affected third and final one-day international, visitors dominated the game throughout and were eventually declared winners by Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method.

India's opening batter Shubman Gill was awarded the Player of the Match for his incredible batting effort in three one-day internationals as he amassed 205 runs in three innings. While Gill went berserk and punished West Indies bowlers by hitting boundaries all-around the park, his magnificent knock became a source of embarrassment for IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Gill was looking in good touch and it appeared as if he will reach to his maiden ODI hundred, untimely interruption of the rain spoiled Gill's plan to complete his century. While many believed that Gill's hundred is certain, IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore even posted a congratulatory tweet saying, "Shubman Gill brings up his maiden international century and timing of the knock could have been more perfect."

However, rain interruption in the game forced the franchise to delete their post, but the screenshot of the post went viral in no time and as result, netizens trolled the franchise.

Gill was in a sublime form as he made valuable contribution with the bat and justified the decision of skipper and head coach to go with him as an opener despite the presence of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan. Apart from him, skipper Shikhar Dhawan (58 off 74) and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer (44 off 34) made valuable contributions in the game as Team India scripted historic triumph on the Caribbean soil.

This is for the first time Team India has defeated the West Indies by 3-0 on their home soil in an ODI series. The two sides will next see each other in a five-match T20I series, starting Friday, July 29.
