After quite a few low-scoring thrillers in the UAE leg of IPL 2021, fans finally got to witness some fireworks as Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals produced a batting masterclass in Abu Dhabi. It was Ruturaj Gaikwad who stole the show in the first half of the match with a spectacular century. RR were set a challenging target of 190 runs in 20 overs but little did many knew that they would achieve it without any issues in the end.

RR’s opening duo of Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out with some extremely positive intent as they absolutely destroyed a formidable CSK bowling attack. With still a lot of work left to do, it was Shivam Dube, who announced his return to the playing XI with some swag as his unbeaten knock of 64 runs in 42 deliveries took the Men in Pink over the line in only 17.3 overs.

It was indeed an outstanding performance by RR in a do-or-die match and their victory took them to 6th position in the points table, level on points with KKR, PBKS and MI.
