Team India captain Rohit Sharma is running on a brilliant form, scoring his third consecutive half-century at the Asia Cup 2023. In this process, he also achieved a feat, becoming the second fastest to do so. The opener became the sixth Indian and the 15th overall to complete 10,000 runs in the format.

Rohit reached the landmark with a six, which also made him the highest six-hitter in Asia Cup history, surpassing Shahid Afridi. While Virat Kohli reached his 10,000th ODI run in just 205 innings, and his captain Rohit secured the second spot as he reached the mark in his 241st inning. Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar conquered the 10,000 runs mountain in 259 ODI innings; the list is followed by Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting.
His former opening partner Shikhar Dhawan was one of the first to congratulate Sharma as he wrote on X, “Congratulations to Rohit Sharma @ImRo45 undeniably one of the greatest ever, for becoming the 7th batsman to achieve the incredible milestone of 10,000 runs in international cricket.”
However, he wasn’t the only one as several other players as well as fans took to the microblogging site to congratulate and acknowledge this feat of Rohit Sharma.
