Hollywood actor Tom Hardy has bagged his second Jiu-Jitsu title this year after winning the gold medal at the 2022 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open in  Milton Keynes, England  on September 17. The 45-year-old actor is famous for his roles in Venom, Inception, Peaky Blinders among others.

The Venom star made a surprise appearance at the 2022 BJJ Open and  entered the tournament under his real name, Edward Hardy. One of the tournament organizers said, "It was a real pleasure to have him compete at our event."

Tom Hardy, who is well-known for his action roles in Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Bronson, Mad Max: Fury Road among others, participated in the men's category of 41-and-older as a high-level blue-belt fighter at the  2022 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship.

Earlier in August, Hardy defeated a 40-year-old fighter named Danny Appleton to  win the REORG Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Wolverhampton, a competition for raising funds for military personnel, veterans and emergency service workers.

After the fight Appleton drew comparison between Hardy and his iconic character of Bane from the movie, 'The Dark Knight Rises' and told The Northern Echo, "He’s just a top guy–he’s very strong which surprised me and a very good fighter. But he’s probably the toughest competitor I’ve had — he certainly lived up to his Bane character, that’s for sure."
