As the marquee encounter between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023 is upon us, the battle lines are getting drawn among the players of both teams too. One of the main players to watch out for, when Pallekele International Cricket Stadium gets packed to the rafters, will be Virat Kohli.
Over the years, the former captain of Team India has been a prized wicket for the opposition teams to pick up, irrespective of the format. Pakistan will be looking to dismiss Virat Kohli early in the Indian innings, to put them on the backfoot.

The bowling lineup of Pakistan has proven to be quite a formidable force in recent years, dismissing many opposition batting lineups cheaply, especially in limited-overs cricket. With Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah taking the new ball, followed by Haris Rauf in the first chance, they have bullied teams at times.
The likes of Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Iftikhar Ahmed are the spin options, to add balance to the bowling attack of the Men in Green. With that, SportsTiger looks at three Pakistan bowlers who can dismiss Virat Kohli in Asia Cup 2023.
Naseem Shah
Naseem Shah is expected to compete against Virat Kohli for the first time in ODIs, but he has bowled to the Indian number three before, in the shortest format, without dismissing him. The 34-year-old has batted thrice against the fast bowler from Pakistan in 2022 in T20Is, scoring 31 runs at a strike rate of 124, which includes a couple of fours. On his T20I debut, Naseem Shah had Virat Kohli dropped in slips by Fakhar Zaman, with just his second delivery bowled to him.
