Mumbai Indians retained Jasprit Bumrah as their top retention for a sum of INR 18 Crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Bumrah is arguably the best fast bowler in the world right now. He recently helped India win the T20 World Cup 2024 and was named Player of the Tournament. He has played a big role in Mumbai Indians becoming five-time champions in the IPL. Moreover, Bumrah is their second-highest wicket-taker, with 165 wickets in 133 matches and an economy rate of 7.30.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal

Alongside Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals also paid INR 18 Crore for young Indian star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal. The 22-year-old started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals, and the team has nurtured him, making him one of the important players for the franchise as well as for the national team. They have backed him for this season, indicating that he could be a long-term player for them in the IPL. Jaiswal has played 53 matches for RR and scored 1,607 runs with a strike rate of 150.60.

Sanju has played 168 matches in the IPL and scored 4,419 runs with a strike rate of 138.96.

4. Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja is one of the key contributors to the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) success in the IPL. Although he has retired from T20 Internationals, the franchise has shown trust in their star player by retaining him for INR 18 Crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. He is known for his left-arm spin bowling and destructive batting in the lower middle-order. The 35-year-old has played 240 matches and scored 2,959 runs, and taken 160 wickets.
