In a significant development related to the I PL 2023, former RCB great AB de Villiers has joined the Bangalore franchise ahead of the player auction which is slated to take place on December 16, 2022. But before the auction, South African batting great AB de Villiers is supposed to share his expertise with the franchise in the retention list which needs to be submitted to the Board of Control for Cricket in India before November 16.
De Villiers confirmed his arrival via a Twitter post stating that he has just checked in to the ITC Royal Gardenia for the first time in many years. "Great to be back in Bangalore," his tweet read. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore also posted a tweet regarding the same but interestingly didn't reveal the name of the player in their tweet.
