Indian women star golfers  Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar sailed to the third round of Women’s Open 2023 by producing back-nine points on August 12, Saturday. While Aditi played under-3 for the back nine, Diksha chose under-2 to play back nine and made the cut for the first time in Indian women’s golf. Ashok is Tied-ninth she moved in a position to improve her best finish at the Women’s Open. 

On the other hand, this was Dagar’s first cut in any major tournament. It is for the second time that any Indian player has made the cut together at any Major event. Before Ashok and Dagar, Jeev Milkha Singh and Anirban Lahiri made the cut together in 2012 at the British Open. 

During the first round, Aditi had an even par 72 in the first round, and later she was even par for the front nine. Ashok was even for 27 holes, but later with birdies on the 11th, 14th, 16th and 17th. The 25-year-old found 12 of the 15 fairways and had 14 greens in regulation. 

Speaking of Dagar, the 22-year-old found 14 out of 18 greens in the second round and had 31 putts. After the second round, four players are in a tie for fifth place after 36 holes.
