Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr will battle it out against Shabab Al-Ahli on Tuesday night at the KSU Stadium, Riyadh in the AFC Champions League 2023-24 Play-off. Al-Nassr, who finished as runners-up in the 1995 edition of the Champions League, look like a strong and balanced side going into this year’s edition. They have a squad that consists of proven names like Talisca, Sadio Mane, and, of course, Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the previous edition, Al-Nassr had barely missed out on the group stages, as they finished third in the Saudi Pro League. But this time, Al-Nassr look like a completely different side and can be strong contenders to win the title. Shabab Al-Ahli, on the other hand, is one of the giants in the UAE Pro League, winning eight titles till now, which is the second highest in the league. They have other accolades to their names too, like 10 UAE Cups and five UAE Supercups.
The Dubai-based club is also on a 10-match undefeated streak since their quarter-final defeat in the UAE President’s Cup against Al-Ain FC in April. The clash against Al-Nassr is going to be an excellent battle between the Saudi Arabian giants and the UAE giants.
