Ahmad Shahzad, the Pakistan cricketer, announced PKR 1 million in prize money through his foundation for Arshad Nadeem after the latter won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. After registering an Olympic record in the men’s javelin throw event, there have been several other cash prizes announced for Arshad Nadeem, who has etched his name in Pakistan sporting history.
Notably, in the men’s javelin throw final at the Stade de France in Paris, Arshad Nadeem registered a throw of 92.97m, to win the gold medal. India's Neeraj Chopra came in second place with 89.34m throw, while Anderson Peters of Grenada finished in third place with 88.54m throw.

In his latest post on the official X account, Ahmad Shahzad announced the prize money for the first individual gold medallist at the Olympics for Pakistan and wrote, “Well done Arshad Nadeem. Ahmad Shahzad Foundation & @reportagegroup are happy to announce another Rs 1 million prize for our Olympian Hero. I always believed in Arshad Nadeem's potential! He's our proud Champ. Remember to always believe in your dreams, They'll come to reality with hard work & dedication”.
Apart from Ahmad Shahzad, the Chief Minister of Punjab state in Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz declared a reward of PKR 100 million for Arshad Nadeem. The Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, awarded PKR 50 million to the new Olympic champion from Pakistan.
Ali Zafar, the actor and singer from Pakistan, also joined in on the act and announced a prize money of PKR 1 million through his foundation for Arshad Nadeem.
