Former India captain Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma welcomed their second child, a baby boy on February 15. However, the couple confirmed the birth on Tuesday, February 20 in a social media post, revealing the name of their child, Akaay. The social media platforms were flooded with wishes pouring in from all over.
Soon after the news broke out, people flooded Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) with countless fan pages dedicated to the newborn. From “Akaay Kohli” to “akaay.kohli_”, social media spotted innumerable accounts with edited pictures around Kohli with a baby boy.
However, these all seem to be fake accounts around the newborn, it is to be noted that Virat-Anushka’s daughter Vamika Kohli also does not have a social media account so far.
The couple on February 20 announced the birth of their son Akaay. “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world”, the couple wrote, requesting privacy as of now. However, the post garnered wishes from all around, including cricketers and several others.
“Congratulations, @virat.kohli and @anushkasharma for the little one. Lots of best wishes and happiness,” commented Shikhar Dhawan. Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Dia Mirza along with several IPL franchises also wished the couple on this great news.
