The highly-anticipated Cristiano Ronaldo's reunion with Lionel Messi, touted as The Last Dance, will not be featuring in Friday's game between Al-Nassr and Inter Miami due to the Portuguese legend's failure to recover from his muscle injury. However, the 38-year-old requested his Saudi club to extend his housing contract, which Al-Nassr have reportedly accepted.
Ronaldo's housing contract expired at the end of January and the former Manchester United star requested to extend his contract due to his satisfaction and desire to complete his Al-Nassr contract, which ends at the end of next season.

According to Saudi reporter Abdulrahman Altamimi, " Al-Nassr completed the procedures for extending the legend’s (Cristiano Ronaldo) housing contract, which expired at the end of January. The extension was based on the legend’s request, his satisfaction, and his desire to complete the remaining term of his contract with the club, which expires at the end of next season.
"The legend had not previously set any specific conditions for the housing situation, except for equipping a private gym."

According to a report by the New York Post, Cristiano Ronaldo lived in a $300k per month luxury home in Saudi Arabia before his housing contract expired. Before his luxury home, Ronaldo stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh’s Kingdom Tower, which is known as one of the tallest buildings in Saudi Arabia. The 38-year-old Portuguese legend was spotted entering the 99-story building on February 12, 2023, by MailOnline.
Ahead of the much-awaited Ronaldo vs Messi clash in the Riyadh Season Cup 2024, Al-Nassr head coach Luis Castro revealed that their captain will miss the clash as he "is in the final part of his recovery." Castro said, “We will not see [Messi vs Ronaldo], Ronaldo is in the final part of his recovery to join the group. We hope that in the next few days, you can start working with the team. He will be absent from the game.”
