India continued their domination in the ODI format against Pakistan as they defeated the arch-rivals by six wickets in the fifth match of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai on Sunday, February 23. With this, India have almost confirmed their place in the semi-final while Pakistan are on the verge of getting knocked out. After their famous 180-run win in the 2017 Champions Trophy final at the Oval, Pakistan haven’t been able to defeat Indian in the 50-over format for the last eight years. 

India have a dominant record in the ODI format against Pakistan from the last few years. Looking at their overall head-to-head record in the 50-over format, Pakistan are in a big lead with 73 wins out of 136 ODI matches played between both teams overall with India winning 58 of them. However, if we talk about the 21st century, the Men in Blue have an upper hand against the arch-rivals since the beginning of the 2000s.
