Just after nine days of joining the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has decided to quit the party and informed that he will be taking a "little" break from politics.  In December last year, the former CSK batter joined the YSRCP in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy CM K Narayana Swamy, and Rajampeta Lok Sabha member P Mithun Reddy.

The 38-year-old Rayudu took to X (formerly Twitter) and announced his resignation from the YSRCP. He wrote, "This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time."

The sudden resignation from Rayudu came as a shock to the YSRCP leadership while the six-time IPL winner with the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings stated that he would communicate his further actions at a later stage.
