Cricket West Indies on Sunday, 10 December named their 15-member squad for the five-match T20I series against England at home. While the home side, West Indies will enter the T20I series after winning the three-match ODI series by 2-1 margin, the visitors were handed a loss for the first time in 25 years in the Caribbean.

 

Talking more about the T20I squad, one of the prominent takeaways has been the return of Andre Russell. The 35-year-old, who last played a T20I match in 2021 against Australia, will mark his return after almost two years with the T20 World Cup set to be hosted jointly in the US and Caribbean.

 

Additionally, Rovman Powell will continue to lead the side for the five-match series with wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope being his deputy. The two cricketing giants will go head-to-head in the five-match T20I series, starting December 13. While the first of the series will be played at the Kensington Oval Bridgetown in Barbados, National Cricket Stadium St George’s, Grenada and Brian Lara Stadium Tarouba in Trinidad will host the remainder matches.
