Al-Nassr will face off against Zamalek in their third group-stage match at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on Thursday, August 3. The Arab Champions Cup features 16 of the best teams in the Arab world competing for the title. Al-Nassr are currently top of Group C with four points, while Zamalek are third with three points.
Al Nassr started the season with a dull 0-0 draw against Al Shabab in their opening game but came back in the next to win 4-2 against Monastir with Talisca, Cristiano Ronaldo, Abdullelah Al-Amri, Abdulaziz Saud Al Elewai scoring. New signings Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles will be looking to further acclimate to the new team and conditions before the SPL season begins.
Zamalek are looking to enter the top two of the group as they are just one point off Al Nassr and second-placed Al Shabab. The Egyptian side are coming off a narrow 1-0 loss to Al Shabab, prior to which they comfortably beat Monastir 4-0. After a dismal 2022-23 season in which they finished third in the league, 23 points behind league winners Al Ahly, they will hope to turn things around this season.
