Former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan questioned Harsha Bhogle’s tweet for Suryakumar Yadav after the MI cricketer’s recent performance against RCB. SKY recently made his comeback in the squad after missing the initial games in the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League. After failing to score against Delhi in the first match, Yadav played a significant knock for his side and helped MI post a seven-wicket win over their counterparts.
The batter contributed 52 runs off just 19 deliveries at a strike rate of 237.68 and combined five fours and four maximums. The five-time winners chased the target of 197 runs posted by their counterparts in just 15.3 overs and registered their second successive win of the tournament. After his blistering knock, Bhogle took to X and heaped praise on Yadav.
The Indian commentator tweeted, “We were missing Suryakumar Yadav and his wonderful audacious, inventive strokeplay. What a difference he makes to this #MumbaiIndians team”. After Bhogle’s tweet, former Indian cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan mocked him and questioned his ‘WE’ in the tweet. Sivaramakrishnan tweeted, “By saying WE, are you a part of MI ????” The 58-year-old who is quite popular with his social media game once again garnered attention for his blunt remark.
When Suryakumar Yadav performs, no one can defeat his team: Harbhajan Singh
Suryakumar Yadav, who was out of action due to injury, announced his arrival in the tournament with a powerful knock. After his performance against RCB, Singh said, “When Suryakumar Yadav performs, no one can defeat his team. He is an unbelievable player. He can win games in any situation. I saw AB de Villiers, and he was terrific with the bat, but I feel Suryakumar Yadav is a better version of him. He has won more games for his franchise than anyone playing now in the format.”
He added, “If I were part of any franchise, he would be my first pick, if he would come to the auction. But it’s not going to happen.” He added, “I have not seen a more dominant batter than Suryakumar Yadav in my life. What does a bowler do in front of him? I am lucky that I am not playing ticket.”
