After 63 grueling games, Argentina is set to take on France in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The Grand Finale will be hosted by Lusail Stadium, where Argentines will try to end their 36-year World Cup drought while the French will try to repeat as champions for the first time in over 50 years. The Albicelestes have an extremely entertaining team throughout the tournament.
Argentina lost their opening match as Saudi Arabia managed to pull off a historic 2-1 upset. But since then Lionel Messi’s men have risen to be a dominant force with a never say die attitude. The Argentines defeated Mexico in their next group game and took down Poland to finish top of their group.
Then in the Round of 16, the Albicelestes registered a 2-1 win over Australia with quality goals from Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez. The quarterfinal for Argentina was a slugfest against the Netherlands which had 18 yellow cards, four goals and a penalty shootout. But in the end, the Albicelestes managed to win. In comparison to this, the semifinal was a cakewalk as Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0.
