The much-awaited season of the Asia Cup 2023 is less than two weeks away from commencement. The tournament will kick off with a clash between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan. While Pakistan is set to host four clashes, Sri Lanka will host remaining matches, including India’s matches and the final. In the event starting on August 30, India will begin their campaign by taking on arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2. Before the marquee event, the star-studded commentary panel of the tournament has been announced.
Star Sports took to Instagram to announce the commentary panel consisting of cricket pundits. The panel includes former ODI World Cup champions with the likes of Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Wasim Akram and Matthew Hayden. The panel also includes names like Mohammad Kaif, Sanjay Manjrekar, and more. However, former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and former India cricketer Aakash Chopra have missed out on a place in the commentary panel.
Announcing the commentators for the upcoming tournament, StarSports wrote, “From champions in the field to champions on-air! Our panel of cricketing legends, analytical experts and inimitable broadcasters are set to elevate the #AsiaCup2023 action like never before.”
