The 16th edition of the Asia Cup will be played in ODI format for the first time since 2018. The continental tournament will be played from August 30 till September 17 in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. While the opening match will see Pakistan take on Nepal in Group A clash, Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh on August 31 in Kandy.
Although the Sri Lanka Cricket is yet to announce its squad for the marquee tournament with less than a day left, the defending champions has a long list of injuries. While the side will miss Dushmantha Chameera and Dilshan Madushanka, four players remain doubtful. However, despite injuries, the Dasun Shanaka-led side will aim to put their best XI on the field with an aim to defend the title this season at home.
