India locked horns with arch-rivals Pakistan in the Super Fours clash of the Asia Cup 2023 on September 10, Sunday. While the fans were anticipating the encounter to be a big one, the match got called off for the day due to heavy rain in Colombo Sri Lanka. While India was batting at 147 with the loss of two wickets, sudden rainfall brought the high-octane game to a standstill.

However, after more than two hours, when the match was about to resume at 9 pm (IST), it started raining again and the game got washed out for the day. As the Super Fours clash between India and Pakistan has a reserve day, the 50-over game will resume at 3 pm (local time) on September 11, Monday, with India in their current position after 24.1 overs.

The game started with Pakistan captain Babar Azam winning the toss and opting to bowl first. The Indian openers, captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scored brilliant half-centuries and departed after scoring 56 and 58, respectively. It was during the 25th over, when Virat Kohli was at 8* off 16 and KL Rahul was at 17* off 28, when heavy downpour brought the covers on.
