The Men in Blue will square off against co-hosts Sri Lanka in their second Super Fours fixture on September 12 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. India qualified for the Super 4s by finishing in second place in Group A, whereas Sri Lanka topped Group B, winning both its fixtures.

India began their Asia Cup against Pakistan, but the rain gods decided to step in with the match being called off. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya helped the team steady their innings after the top-order fell like a pack of cards against Pakistan's strong fast bowling attack.
