Indian quartet of Muhammed Ajmal, Vithya Ramraj, Rajesh Ramesh and Subha Venkatesh finished with a bronze medal at the ongoing Asian Games 2023. The Indian 4x400m mixed relay team finished behind Bahrain and Sri Lanka at the ongoing Games on October 2, Monday.

The Indian team signed off with a timing of 3:15.34 losing their previous title to Bahrain, who clocked in 3:14.02 in the final. With this bronze medal finish, India also bagged their 60 th medal at the Games.
Earlier, 20-year-old Ancy Sojan Edappilly finished at the second place in the women’s long jump. She registered her best jump in her fifth attempt of 6.63m with compatriot Shaili Singh securing the fifth place with her best of 6.48m. On the other hand, Parul Chaudhary also produced a second place finish in women’s 3000m steeplechase with a timing of 9:27.63.
