During the newest edition of The Kapil Sharma Show on Netflix, Indian cricketer Shivam Dube was put on the spot by the host, who asked him about which captain is his favourite, Rohit Sharma or MS Dhoni. The all-rounder, who is now ruled out of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh due to a back injury, managed to give a diplomatic answer to the question, stating that whichever captain he plays at the time, is his favourite in the specific moment.

Notably, Shivam Dube was accompanied by few of his India teammates namely Rohit Sharma, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav, and Arshdeep Singh on The Kapil Sharma Show on Netflix. After Shivam Dube remarked that he liked both MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma as captains while playing for them, the current Indian Test and ODI skipper seemed quite impressed with him after remarking “Phas gaya (He is stuck now).”

When I am playing for Chennai, MS Dhoni is the best, when I am playing for India, Rohit Sharma is the best: Shivam Dube

In response to the question from Kapil Sharma, the Indian all-rounder was quoted as saying, “When I am playing for Chennai, MS Dhoni is the best, when I am playing for India, Rohit Sharma is the best.” Moments later, Rohit Sharma, who was across the table to Shivam Dube, asked him about whether he practised his replies to questions like these prior to making it to the show.
