On Monday, December 16, rain came into play once again after washing out majority of the sessions on the opening day of the third BGT Test at The Gabba in Brisbane. However, the weather forecast has thunderstorms predicted for the entire week, rain gave several halts to the play on the third day of the ongoing Gabba Test.
With Australia resuming the innings at 405/7 on Day 3, half-century from Alex Carey helped the side put 445 runs on the board. In return, India once again suffered a collapse with the top order falling cheaply. While Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to replicate his performance from Perth Test, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli also departed at the scores of one and three respectively.

However, the probability of thunderstorm has reduced to 29 per cent, there are showers predicted in the morning on Day 4, as per Accuweather.
Moreover, with considerable cloudiness and humidity in the forecast, the cloud cover is expected to be around 96 per cent with precipitation of two and a half hours. During the fourth day’s play in Brisbane, there will be wind gusts of around 32 km/h during the day, which could help in blowing away some of the possible rain from the venue. But still, the fans might have to endure a few rain interruptions when Australia and India take on each other at the Gabba.
