India’s prolific all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been provided more time to recover from his injury as he was not included for the Sri Lanka series. While Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah are yet to be declared completely fit for the international contest, Rohit Sharma is set to lead the squad in 50-over format.
Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma are two of the most senior players in the Indian cricket set-up, and recently the former didn’t hesitate in taking a sly dig at the Indian skipper on internet.
On Thursday, Rohit Sharma posted an adorable selfie with wife on Instagram. However, Ravindra Jadeja came up with a hilarious comment on the post which left everyone in splits.
In response to Rohit Sharma’s ‘Best time of the year’ Insta post, Ravindra Jadeja suggested his skipper to get a hair transplant. ‘Baal lagane padenge,’ wrote Ravindra Jadeja.
Meanwhile, National Cricket Academy in Bangalore reportedly arranged special camps for Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah to make them match-fit.
“Both Bumrah and Jadeja are crucial to our plans against Australia. We had paid the price once and don’t want to rush them back again. They had fitness tests at the NCA, and both cleared the test. But we still felt they need some more time,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
