The Men in Blue are touring the rainbow nation for a multi-format series. While the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw, the ODI leg saw India finish on top by a 2-1 margin. Now as the action shifts to the longest format of the game, the Men in Blue were invited to bat first in the opening Test of the two-match series by the Temba Bavuma-led side.

While the top order of the touring side failed to get a big score on the board, it all came down to Virat Kohli to shoulder the inning along with Shreyas Iyer, both of whom helped the side put 91/3 at Lunch on Day 1. However, with Iyer and Kohli in the middle, the former Team India skipper was seen s haring a piece of advice for the Indian middle-order batter, video of which is now doing rounds on social media.
The incident took place in the 16th over of the inning when Test debutant Nandre Burger in the attack. With Kohli on strike, the batting stalwart was heard on the stump mic saying, “Ball dekhte rehna hath mein uske, kidhar pakda rahega.”

Moreover, Day 1 of the ongoing Boxing Day Test has seen the hosts dominate. As of writing, Kagiso Rabada in his 13-over spell dismissed four Indian batters while Nandre Burger scalped two in his nine overs.
