India finished the year after winning the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. While they won the first match by 188 runs, the Men in Blue won the second Test by three wickets. With this Test series win, KL Rahul also etched history as he won the first Test series as captain.
Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin turned match-winner in the second Test after scalping six wickets in the match and contributing with his crucial innings with the bat. The veteran India cricketer not only aces for his on-field action but is active over social media also. Ashwin shut down trolls after a Sri Lanka journalist tried to mock at him.
The Sri Lanka journalist took to Twitter to respond on off-spinner’s image with the Man of the Match trophy. “You should have handed this to Mominul Haque, Who dropped that dolly.. had he bagged it, India all out for 89 for sure..,” the journalist wrote.
The veteran was quick to respond to the fan as he tweeted, “Oh no! I thought I blocked you, oh sorry that’s the other guy. What’s his name?? Yes Daniel Alexander that’s the name!! Imagine what you both would do if India dint play cricket.”
Notably, the blocked user by the name Daniel Alexander too responded to Ashwin’s comments. “I can still see your tweets, just like your bent arm while bowling. Im not blocked and you are not banned yet. CHUCK de India,” the other user said.
