The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday, February 3 revealed details of Sri Lanka’s tour of Bangladesh. The Bangla Tigers will host the Lankans for a multi-format series in March - April 2024 in a home series.

While the two sides will first play a three-match T20I series in Sylhet, followed by a three-match ODI series. The two cricketing nations will then lock horns in a two-match Test series eye to better their ranking in the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. The first Test will be played from March 22 to 26 in Sylhet, the second is scheduled to be held from March 30 to April 3 in Chattogram.

Speaking of the teams' position in the WTC 2023-25 cycle, while Bangladesh are placed fourth, courtesy a victory and a loss against New Zealand, Sri Lanka have two losses to their name following disappointing outing against Pakistan last year.
