Barcelona, the reigning champions of La Liga, will sport a special badge on their shirts for the 2023-24 season, as a recognition of their 2022-23 title triumph. The Catalan club clinched their 28th league crown last season, finishing 10 points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid. They will be the first team to wear the new La Liga champions patch which they themselves are in charge of designing.
The earlier badge was placed on the right sleeve of the shirt, just above the La Liga logo, featuring the number 22/23, in reference to the most recent title win. The champion patch of the last Primera División will be now located on the right sleeve of the shirt, above the new La Liga logo, and will be rectangular, unlike in recent years.
Barcelona will debut the new patch in their opening game of the season against Getafe on August 14 and will wear it throughout the season, both in domestic and international competitions.

Barcelona have released their new away kit for the 2023-24 season, which features a white color for the first time in 44 years. The club said that the kit is a tribute to their legendary player and coach Johan Cruyff, who wore a similar white shirt in the 1970s. The kit also has red and blue stripes on the sleeve cuffs and blue shorts and socks with red accents.
The Spotify logo is the main sponsor on the front of the shirt, while the Nike logo and the club crest are on the chest. The kit is likely to make its debut in the pre-season friendly against Arsenal in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Barcelona fans have mixed reactions to the white kit, as some see it as a homage to Cruyff, while others associate it with their arch-rivals Real Madrid.
