India's Manju Rani defeated Afghanistan's Sadia Bromand 3-0 in the 50kg category on the last day of the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament and ended India's campaign in the tournament with a gold in Sarajevo, Bosnia.  With the last-day medal, India's medal tally extended to nine gold and one silver medal at the tournament on September 10, Sunday. On the other hand, in the men's 51kg category, Barun Singh defeated Poland’s Jakub Slominsk 3-0 and won the yellow metal. 

With her performance, Manju not only won another gold for the country but won the title of the best women boxer. Speaking of the men's 57 kg category, despite a spectacular performance by Akash Kumar, the Indian boxer went down in the final to Sweden’s Hadi Hadrous 1-2. The last day saw Manish Kaushik dominating his 63kg bout against Palestinian Mohammed Soud 3-0. 

Moving on to the 92kg category, Naveen Kumar got better of his rival and edged out Mateusz Bereznicki of Poland 2-1. Along with them, Jyoti, Shashi, Jigyasa, Vinakshi and Satish Kumar were also declared winners after their opponents withdrew from their respective finals. 

Notably, India sent an 11-player contingent for the tournament, which consisted of six men and five women boxers. The women's squad was led by the  2019 World Championships silver medalist Manju Rani (50kg) along with Youth World Champions Jyoti (54kg) and Shashi Chopra (60kg). On the other hand, the men's squad was headed by  2019 World Championship bronze medalist Manish Kaushik (63.5kg), along with 2021 World Championship bronze medalist Akash Kumar (57kg).
