The Women’s Selection Committee on Monday, November 18 named India’s 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia Women. The three-match series which will commence from December 5 in Brisbane, will see Harmanpreet Kaur lead the side, consisting of experienced as well as young players.

Shafali Verma dropped after dismal outing in ODIs

With Harmanpreet Kaur at helm, Smriti Mandhana will serve as her deputy in the three-match series. Moreover, star batter and Mandhana’s opening partner, Shafali Verma has been dropped seeing her dismal run of form in ODIs. Speaking of India’s schedule, the three-match ODI series is set to commence from December 5 in Brisbane. While the series opener is scheduled to be played at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, the second ODI will also be played at the same venue on December 8. For the final ODI, the two top teams will move to Perth, where they will lock horn on December 11 at the WACA Ground.
