The Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCC I) already applied for 45 Indian players’ visas for the upcoming tour to South Africa to ensure that players reach as per the schedule. BCCI is set to select four teams - India A, India T20I team, India ODI team and I ndian Test team for the tour to South Africa.

The Men in Blue will play three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests, for which the first batch of players will leave for the Rainbow Nation on December 6 from Bengaluru. As per the Indian Express, the BCCI is set to send a full-strength squad for the Test matches as these games are part of the World Test Championship 2023-25 calendar.
Further talking about selections, some senior players like Virat Kohli could be out for the white-ball leg. Whereas, Rohit Sharma hasn't yet taken a call on his participation in the T20Is and ODIs as BCCI wants the CWC 2023 captain to continue in the shorter format.

If Sharma remains absent for the white-ball leg of the tour, Team India will have a captain for each, ODIs and T20Is. Wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul is set to be the captain of 50-over games while Suryakumar Yadav will continue to lead in the shortest format.
