The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally cleared the air on conducting the remainder of the IPL 2021 edition. In the latest update, the board announced hosting of the truncated 14th edition in UAE. Along with this BCCI has put a huge request to the West Indies cricket board. Along with this, the Indian board in the Special General Meeting being hosted in Mumbai on Saturday has made some important decisions with respect to IPL 2021 & the upcoming T20 World Cup.

BCCI to host remainder of IPL 2021 in UAE

The BCCI in Saturday’s SGM announced that the body will conduct the remaining matches in UAE later this year. With the board eyeing the September-October window, stated that considering the monsoon season in India, the remaining IPL 2021 matches will be conducted in UAE.

Amidst all this, the BCCI has also made a request to the West Indies cricket board (CWI) to prepone the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier League. The CPL 2021 is scheduled to take place from August 28 until September 19, 2021. Notably the entire tournament will take place in St Kitts & Nevis with all 33 matches being played at the Warner Park.
