Ahead of the Continental tournament, India’s biggest concern has been the number 4 spot in the batting lineup which has seen a constant rotation after injuries to Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul. Fortunately, for the Indian team, Rahul and Iyer are regaining fitness, boosting the middle order. In their absence, both of India’s options Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson failed to cement their position.

As reported by Network 18, Rahul is ready for selection, while Iyer is nearing 100% fitness. The source quoted in the report said, “KL Rahul is fit and available for selection. He has been regularly batting and wicketkeeping and looks good fitness-wise. With regards to Shreyas Iyer, signs are extremely positive.”

The report also states, BCCI will take a call on Tilak Varma, who was Team India’s biggest positive in the T20I series against West Indies.
