Indian team in 1995 went on to win the Asia Cup title for the fourth consecutive time, notably, Azharuddin became the first skipper to win two Asia Cups. Sachin Tendulkar (205) and Navjot Singh Sidhu (197) were the top scorers and helped India win the Asia Cup. Among bowlers, Anil Kumble (7) and Venkatesh Prasad (6) picked the most wickets in this tournament.

Skipper Azharuddin scored a sensational unbeaten 90 runs to help India beat Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the final match. In the must-win match against Sri Lanka, Sachin Tendulkar recorded a brilliant ton (112* off 107 balls) and helped India to qualify for the finals.
