The biggest event of the year Battlegrounds India Series (BGIS) 2024 is all set to start from April 4. The event comprises of four stages, namely The Grind, Wildcard Entry, Semi-finals, and the Grand Finals. The publisher of BGMI, Krafton announced that the event’s prize pool would be staggering INR 2 Crore, which signifies the competition to be bigger than ever.

This time around, there will be many changes in the event such as teams can now trade or exchange players according to their demands and also there will be new points system. The finals of the event will take place from June 28-30, 2024.
BGIS 2024: Format and Schedule
The BGIS 2024 comprises of same format as before and the qualifiers will be played in The Grind event where teams will be called to compete and then they will be placed as per their further standings in the event.
The Grind (April 4-28)
In this event, there will be a total 256 teams divided into 16 groups. Each group is scheduled to play three matches. The top 64 teams based on the overall rating will qualify for the main event.

17th -32nd ranked teams: BGIS 2024 Round 3
33rd-64th ranked teams: BGIS 2024 Round 2

BGIS 2024: Teams
There will be total of 1024 teams from the In-game Qualifiers which will further reduce to 512 teams in the Round 2. In the third round, the teams will reduce to 256 teams after which only 64 games will play in the round four.

BGIS 2024: Points system
This time, the BGIS 2024 event will be allocating points to the teams just like how Player Unknown Battlegrounds Mobile Esports Points system works. From this event, the teams with chicken dinner will receive only 10 points instead of regular 15 and the points will subsequently decrease for lower ranked teams.
