The Battlegrounds Mobile India, aka BGIS 2025, is around the corner, where 1080 teams will battle for the prestigious title and INR 2 crore prize pool. Organized by Krafton India Esports (KIE), the BGIS is one of the biggest and toughest esports tournaments in India, where top teams all around the country fight for one trophy. BGIS 2021
Skylightz Gaming emerged as the champions of the first edition of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series, BGIS 2021. The team featuring players like Saumraj, Pukar, Gamlaboy, and Destro secured a total of 273 points in 24 matches in the Grand Finals. The club was awarded INR 5,000,000 prize money. TSM, led by ShadowOG, took the second spot while Team XO finished at 3rd.
BGIS 2023
Gladiators Esports won the BGIS 2023 and bagged a prize pool of INR 7,500,000. The team, including players like Destro, Justin, DeltaPG, and Shogun, secured 200 points in 18 matches in the Grand Finals played in Mumbai. DeltaPG was also named the MVP of the tournament. Big Brother Esports became runner-up while Team XSpark took 3rd place.
BGIS 2024
Team XSpark, featuring players like NinjaJOD, Spraygod, Sarang, and Shadow7, won the BGIS 2024 in Hyderabad. The most exciting part is that the team won the trophy after qualifying through in-game qualifiers, showcasing a commendable journey from qualifiers to champions. The team secured a total of 142 points in 18 matches. Global Esports took second place while Reckoning Esports finished in 3rd.
The BGIS 2025 is set to take place from 25 January to 20 April, featuring 64 pro teams and 1016 teams from open qualifiers. The Grand Finals of the tournament will be held in Kolkata from 18 to 20 April.
