India’s star batter Virat Kohli is currently on a break as the 34-year-old is not a part of the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. Kohli will next be seen in action in the four-match Test series against Australia, starting on February 9. But before that, the cricketer will be joining the training camp in Nagpur which is slated to begin on February 2.
However, as there is still time left for the training camp to begin, Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma paid a visit to an Ashram in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The couple were seen seeking blessings from the local saints and also organized a ‘Bhandara’. With Kohli visiting a public place, his fans surrounded him at the Aashram. While the cricketer obliged many requests for pictures, Kohli asked his fans to not shoot a video inside the Aashram.

Coming to the upcoming Test series against Australia, it is important for India to win it if they are to qualify for the World Test Championship Final in June. It is equally important for Virat Kohli as the star batter has not found his mojo in red-ball cricket. Kohli has redeemed himself in T20Is and ODIs but the 34-year-old seems to be missing something in the longest format.
In the last four years (2019-2022), Kohli has played 28 Tests wherein he has managed to score 1539 runs at an average of approx. 35. The 34-year-old has only managed only two centuries and eight half-centuries in these 47 innings. Kohli has not scored a Test century in the last three years. His last Test ton came way back in November 2019.
